2020, this strangest of years, marks the 25th anniversary of Love OD Communications. The label was initially set up as an “alternative channel for releasing homegrown Norwegian electronic music” back in 1995, upon releasing founder Per Martinsen AKA Mental Overdrive’s debut album “Plugged”, and has since rather sporadically dropped singles, EP’s and albums by Bjørn Torske’s Krisp project, Illumination, Hex Pistols, Boska, Charlotte Bendiks and more.
To celebrate a quarter of a century in the service of elecronic beats, we will, under the circumstances, not embark on a stadium-rave world-tour, but rather roll out some memorabilia and update our Bandcamp page with hard to find releases on vinyl and CD over the rest of the year. We might even make a T-Shirt.
Follow the tag #LOVEOD25 on Instagram, Twitter and other social media channels and we’ll keep you updated.
Coincidentially, Love OD’s 25th anniversary falls on the same year as Mental Overdrive’s 30th anniversary, but more on that later.
