Mental Overdrive has announced the release of the ’Anti-LBM’ on December 7th 2009.
The background for this release is that he has accumulated a new body of work in the shape of a bundle of dancefloor tracks of an electronic flavour, but that this time he feels that the abundance of digital and other recorded music available within the electronic dance genres calls for him not to further add to this musical confusion.
Instead, the tracks contained on ’Anti-LBM’ will only be played at live performances in darkened clubs around the globe, which started with a Norwegian mini-tour to support Detroit legend Derrick May on Friday Nov. 27th and Saturday Nov. 28 in the cities of Oslo and Bergen respectively.
According to fellow Norwegian name DJ Prins Thomas, the material on ’Anti-LBM’ is ’steaming hot stuff’, and at an initial preview of some of these tracks during a live gig at London’s Fabric in May 2009, was said to have ’torn the roof off’ by the Fabric promoters.
’Anti-LBM’ will be available on no label, and is part of the ”Exclusive Music” series that started with the single track eBay auction of ”Elephantastic!” in 2007 (EXCL001), and then got followed up with another eBay auction of the ’Hidden Backwards Message’ (EXCL002) – in conjunction with the 2008 Mental Overdrive album ”You are being Manipulated”.
”Anti-LBM” (EXCL003) will not be available from December 7th 2009.
